New Site!Well as you can see the new site is up. I have to give props to our team for doing a good job with the writing and creative. Now that it's up you'll have to be sure to check back often to see our progress. You'll notice that for the first time we have screens on the site. This is huge and we've been waiting to do this for a while and now - the waiting is over! With every internal release we do I'll take a bunch of screens and get them up as quickly as possible. If you track them closely, you'll really be able to see the progress we're making as we approach Beta (which is soon). We have all of the artwork done and with each day more will be added, so subsequently you'll see them as the screens are updated. Our artists and developers have recently made lighting effect changes to the terrains that you'll see in the next batch and I have to say - they are awesome. Because all of the art is done we've been spending a lot of time with effects and determining the perfect balance between depth and contrast (in regard to lighting) and I'm very happy with where we wound-up. The effects are starting to pour in as well and when you couple those with the terrain changes, you really begin to see the theatre come to life. I want to also tell you about a video we'll be posting soon. Our team is working very hard at creating a 2-3 minute video of nothing but gameplay. Yes, it'll be complete with all of the sound effects found in-game and you'll really begin to have an understanding of the terrains and most-importantly the interaction between first- and third-person. While sure we are focussed on the artwork, the intent of the video is to give you a clear understanding of not only what assets look like, but how the game is played and how things function. Our team of developers are going to be behind the wheels, so expect nothing but awesome game play. Expect to see the in-game chat, creation of structures, air and ground engagement, AI deployment, FPS and RTS transitions and viewpoints from both perspectives. You'll see how we occupy and then control vehicles as a FP and how you can maneuver those same vehicles (while unoccupied) as an RTS Commander. So between now and then, hop over to the Human and Ematrant sections and try to get familiar with all of the assets so when this comes out you'll know exactly what you're seeing. We'll put a note on the site when it's up and it'll be an obvious one. Feel free to post comments in the Forum and tell us what you think - I'd like to hear from you! Until next time...
